I also get the message: QuickTime 7 requires that your computer is running Windows Vista or Windows 7. Thanks for the pointer! These steps do NOT work.
In reply to ajoco’s post on September 13, I had Apple iTunes already installed. You saved the day after failing several trys. I had to have QT for Tivo desktop software application. It just started downloading Quicktime when I clicked on it.
